Apa khabar dan selamat tahun baru 2018. Today, 2nd of January 2018. I am quite excited looking forward to 2018 that I never mistakenly wrote it as 2017 (yet). Yesterday, I felt the urge to write about why I name my project as the "Stranger For Paradise". Lots of people I met asking the same question but I rarely gave them a straight answer. Even the director of Georgetown Festival asked me, "Why its Stranger for Paradise? Not Stranger in Paradise?".
Hari ni aku akan ceritakan asal-usul datangnya nama projek ini.
Lets rewind to August 2016, a friend of mine, Hidayatullah invited me to join his project to collect footage for Hilton Hotel's corporate video. The project require us to travel to 5 country within 12 days. Yes, 12 days of non-stop travels around. We started from Singapore- Sri Lanka- Beijing- Tokyo- Brisbane (Surfer's Paradise)- Singapore. And through those journey, I open up my mind to things I never been experience before.

Aku rasa sangat excited dengan exlporasi dan experience of learning and seeing new things. At my last stop before back to Singapore, I went to place in Australia called Surfer's Paradise. Aku berpeluang berjumpa dengan peluncur yang sangat teruja bila melihat ombak. Padahal itu adalah benda yang hari-hari diorang hadap. I really envy of those kind of exciteness.

Aku rasa, penting untuk kita punya rasa curiosity dalam diri. Dan aku rasa, bila pulang ke Malaysia. The only way to maintain this curiosity is to be a stranger. Menjadi orang yang asing, and it really trigger my curiosity. To learn and experience new things.
Tapi, this kind of mindset has its own cons. Aku jadi seorang yang kurang berminat melakukan benda yang sama. I crave for different ideas and challenges. And sometime I can't even keep up with myself. And looking at today, being a Youtube Content Creator gave me the chance to do different things everyday. And this really amplify my motivation.
Fast forward masa aku dah balik ke Malaysia, I watched this movie: I Am Number Four. In the movie, the main character met the girl whose a photographer. She took photos of people and upload into web/blog named "Strangers In Paradise". And that is how I get the idea of naming my project, Stranger For Paradise. I change the prepositions from In to For because I felt like I don't want to tell the story of people in the paradise, but I want to share the experience of stranger who are curious of looking and explore the paradise.

I am looking forward to collaborate with anyone who interested. Sharing my experience with people who want to hear it. Thank you everyone for the support, looking forward to shape 2018 into a greater year.
Adios!
